On Saturday the 9th of March 2024, I had the extraordinary privilege of witnessing Marie François' piano recital, a mesmerizing performance of Chopin's enchanting Nocturnes. The setting couldn't have been more fitting, reminiscent of the intimate gatherings Chopin himself cherished. Nestled in an old Belgian church tucked away in the countryside, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical, with dimmed lights casting a soft glow over the audience. As Marie's fingers danced across the keys, each note resonated with emotion, transporting us to a place where time seemed to stand still. It was a truly enchanting experience, capturing the essence of Chopin's music in its purest form.
